Start Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate Open new project ASP.NET Web Application Default name WebApplication1 3. thanx...it really worked...:) Left by utkarsh on Oct 22, 2010 7:34 PM # re: AJAX: Unknown server tag 'asp:ScriptManager'. For my generated Silverlight web site project there was no web.config, so it took a simple addition of a Web Configuration Item for this to work. Start next day -> enter designer in VS2008 SP1 + getting this message everytime. It's amazing how easy it is to crash it. http://forums.asp.net/t/1600393.aspx?Ajax+Control+Toolkit+Error+Creating+Control
I think this happened because my solution uses controls from older versions and the newer versions. Heck even better give me a way to use the property sheet COMPLETELY without the designer first having to be activated. See how to integrate our AJAX controls seamlessly in SharePoint 2007/2010 visiting our common SharePoint portal. Secondly would this work with a modalPage?
JohnH, The issue was at design time, some objects like Session, are not available. My suggestion would be to just get accustomed to working in the source, and forgo working with the designer - it tends to be slow and a bit unreliable. With VS10 they're going to write it in WPF, and you know what that means: a whole new pile of bugs on top of the old one. I really hope Microsoft is going to spend some time on quality control on the designer for VS 2010. If someone will furnish me a contact number I will call them. Thank you. Ajax Error 500 All Rights Reserved.
Nowadays you could need to change the tag in:
Add new folder in WebApplication1 Default name NewFolder1 5. Progress, Telerik, and certain product names used herein are trademarks or registered trademarks of Progress Software Corporation and/or one of its subsidiaries or affiliates in the U.S. So changed it to this and it worked:
It is NOT changing the CodeBehind name that causes the controls to render, but rather changing the Inherits name. But would you mind explain how did you get to this solution? Pretty much the only reason I ever switch to design view is if I need to wire up some even handlers -- I've memorized the signature for some of them -- We had the same problem it worked like a charm!
When I first got into web development, I moved from VB 6 Forms to Visual InterDev 97 and classic ASP. Then re-installed the ASP.NET AJAX UI Control 2009. Does Antimagic Field supress all divine magic? Something with the framework gets confused so it cant find them in the GAC.
