I say likely since it's possible that you could have purchased a Mac with Applecare on the same receipt that would extend the warranty to 3 years. What were the settings you chose? It totally worked for me and just saved me tossing this airport express out the window. I did have to configure it using the ethernet interface on the Airport after I did a reset to factory.
