So I can't get my videocard working properly with any drivers, please help whith any ideas or patches, etc. So I think it's not my kernel causing the error. If you have further questions, please send me an email. I cannot imagine that it needs more memory that I have.

It looks like the bugs has a similar reason as #393266 for xserver-xorg-video-savage, see also http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7767. I have no idea, why 2048x2048 does not work, although this value can be found as the maximum value direct rendering works with in most places, but the slightly lower resolution Last modified: Fri Sep 30 03:48:29 2016; Machine Name: beach Debian Bug tracking system Copyright (C) 1999 Darren O. I have HP 6710s laptop with slackware 12.0 (kernel 2.6.22.9, xserver 1.3.0- slack 12 default) and I have troubles with glx. his comment is here Full text and rfc822 format available.

That probably explains the white screen. After trying different combinations of kernel modules, mesa drivers and video drivers I discovered that problem is due to xf86 video intel driver. I don't expect KDE to work with 3d effects, but I expect it to fallback to normal operation without 3d effects. Full text and rfc822 format available.

The difference is that framebuffer mapping is supported in xserver in newer version and intel driver uses this mapping. I've tried the troubleshooting guide ( https://wiki.ubuntu.com/X/Troublesho...telPerformance ) but no luck. For 3d acceleration I need 4*height*width*colordepth, again according to [1], which is 4*2048*2048*4byte=64MB. Hi, We also saw this bug and can reproduce it by dragging the glxgears' window.
