Hopefully FreeCAD would work then.
But if it really had been a 32bit version, I would have definitely recommended it. thank you very much for your time and patience skottish! should i be using nvidia drivers too?I don't know that GPU, but you still have the problem where your system can't find libraries that should be installed. Probably that's a 32bit version, it would need Mesa-libGL1-32bit then which might have been overwritten by the nvidia driver as well.
This time in Live mode, I choose America/Canada (Eastern) timezone, rather than EST5EDT. So I downloaded Mageia5 beta 1, KDE4, this time 32 bits (was using 64 bits GNOME). Comment 18 Christiaan Welvaart 2014-11-14 21:43:07 CET Hi! https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-1007302-start-0.html?sid=15d316ae2c061c288301dd9a13870661 If that's the case, then reinstall mesa-libgl and see if it appears.
Mario Luzeiro (mrluzeiro) wrote on 2015-04-12: #7 I solved it. Navigate down to the kernel line and add: nomodeset and then boot. I now have a /var/log/Xorg.0.log file and in it: [ 181.270] (EE) AIGLX error: dlopen of /usr/lib/dri/r600_dri.so failed (/usr/lib/dri/r600_dri.so: undefined symbol: _glapi_tls_Dispatch) [ 181.270] (EE) AIGLX: reverting to software rendering [ Comment 3 samrg472 2014-01-22 01:57:43 UTC To append to the previous comment: I did build it myself after the Arch Linux repositories version also had this issue Comment 4 samrg472 2014-01-22

And indeed the r600 driver was loaded and neverball worked earlier. Check setting there to be sure you have GL settings right. Toggle useless messagesView this report as an mbox folder, status mbox, maintainer mbox Report forwarded to [email protected], [email protected], Debian X Strike Force

Comment 34 Paul Dufresne 2015-04-06 09:17:51 CEST Ok, this is not so simple: fixed in Live DVD mode (well I am writing this from it).
Where did you install that from?
